Argo is a 2 yro, neutered male w/natural ears and tail, brindle, weighs approx 95 lbs (is a little
overweight) and his shots/heartworm are up to date. He is non-dominant, gets along very well with my Yorkie and plays well with the other dogs. Argo is a very happy guy (the tail never stops
wagging!), he wants very badly to please and to have acceptance (just a little insecure), knows sit and down (needs some leash work), loves to go for walks and be anywhere you are. He adores children,
cats unknown. Argo would make a wonderful addition to any active family. For further info, contact Margo Illing at pitabouv@sympatico.ca. |
UPDATENov 11/00 Argo has finally gone to his 'forever' home. He now has his own 3 1/2 yro little girl to look after. Below is an email I
rec'd from his new 'mom'. Argo deserves to be happy, loved and to be a cherished family member and he obviously has all this and more. UPDATEFrom his new family. He's doing great! He has a bit of the lonelies for you, but otherwise is
settling in. He follows me around everywhere, believes that his head should lay on the pillow when in bed. We're trying to get him used to not being on the couch (we only have two, so he
would take up most of one). He is quickly learning "Paw off", we stop petting him once he uses it. He is definitely used to kids. He likes Elizabeth. She
likes him. She got to pick out his food bowl (orange and in the shape of a sleeping dog, I couldn't get her to pick a "crock" type of bowl. He now has a choke chain for his walks.
His normal collar works well, but he does get excited at the site of other dogs and children. He got to meet a hound-type dog who got upset and he only wagged his tail. He is learning to come to
a heal.Argo gets excited at the sight and sound of a school bus and the kids in the school yard across the way. He likes to play fetch with gourds. He doesn't run, he
bounces. Argo is getting used to big trucks and the noise they make when they open/close their doors. Argo is also used to a wagon being pulled behind him (once we get a proper harness, he
may very well do the pulling). Mark swears that he is either grinning or smiling. My mom likes him too. She calls him "Cecil", which was my Aunt's Bouvier and talks to him in loving
tones. So ... Argo is a hit. People can't help but to smile at him, most people try to pet him. He has been invited back to the pet store, where we got his food and collar. |
June 11/01 I received the following letter from Argo's mum Arlene... How are things with you? I hope that all is well.
Argo is great. He has fit in perfectly. I took him in for his shots just a couple of weeks ago. She was going to examine Argo on the floor, I asked if she would prefer him on the
table. I put him up and had to watch that he didn't roll off in an attempt to get a good belly scratch from her! He barely recognized the second shot and didn't acknowledge the first. The
vet had a great time with him. Argo now pulls Elizabeth in her little wagon. He was really excited to use his harness after so long. Argo likes chasing birds (even going into the lake) and
squirrels. We are doing well and looking forward to the summer. |
