March 20/01  "Bailey" is a 3.5 yro intact female, 5 lb Blk/tan Miniature Pinscher.  Her and her housemate were turned into the shelter because they were apparently soiling the house - upon further investigation it has been found that Bailey is suffering from pneumonia, a Grade 4 heart murmur and S.A.S. (Sub-Aortic Stenosis).  The vets have said that there is very little that we can do for her as her heart is severely enlarged and filled with fluids - she is having a very hard time breathing.

Poor little Bailey will cross the bridge later this week.  To the previous owners of Bailey - "Shame on you for deserting her just when she needed you the most! To send her to a shelter filled with strangers when she is so sick - have you no conscience or compassion?!".

It's been left to me to make her last days comfortable and filled with love - I wish that I could do more for her. You will never be hurt again, little Bailey.
