Apr 1/01 "Bear" is a soon to be 4 yro, neutered, lovely (or will be when I finish clipping him!) grey brindle w/cropped ears and docked tail -
shots due again in June /01. He is approx 26" tall and about 120 lbs. Due to unforeseen life changes, his family could no longer keep him. His is severely matted and dirty. Bear
is very withdrawn, confused and frightened by all the changes in his life and is doing some fear growling (just wants to be left alone). He is very good with the other dogs and supposedly loves to play
with toys. For further info pls contact Margo Illing at pitabouv@sympatico.ca Apr 14/01 Yesterday I spent a lovely afternoon with a wonderful couple, at their home, where they have been fostering Bear. Bear needed
some intensive rehabbing for his fear growling and his insecurity (mostly from being deserted by his family - he was VERY confused) - he still needs some work but has made a marvellous turnaround under Mark
and Nicole's tender loving care and they have decided that he is now 'home'. He greeted me at the door with wagging tail and many kisses!! Bear and his big 'fursister' Shasta (a 7 yro shep/bouv
X) are getting along well and I know that with all the attention that he's getting he will soon forget his past. Thank you Mark & Nicole for opening up your hearts and home to this guy!! |
