I was contacted by a wonderful lady, she had seen Cashew's pictures and info, and was requesting more info.  Over the years her and her husband have had several dogs and her last companion had just passed away.  I had several conversations with Stephanie and an appointment was made to meet Cashew.

Tonight, Friday Sept 1 at 8 pm Stephanie and her husband Peter arrived to meet Cashew.  He was soooo excited to see these people - I think he knew that they were meant to be his new 'Mom & Dad' - it was definitely love at first sight for all involved.  Stephanie brought me wonderful pictures of her previous dogs and treats for all the dogs here.  After a couple of hours of discussion and wonderful conversation, there was no doubt in my mind that these were the perfect people to provide a loving home for Cashew.  He will be their pampered companion, sleep in their bed and provide lots of entertainment - sure will seem empty here without him!!  The best part is they only live about an hour from me so they have promised to come back for visits.

Update Mar 20/01  This is Stephanie and Peter Jackson with Cashew (adopted Aug/00).  They came by over the weekend to visit and show off Cashew's new coat. Stephanie has generously been knitting coats and blankets for all the small dogs here in rescue (she even did a beautiful coat for Kelowna to keep her warm while she was sick).  Heartfelt thanks Steph!!
