May 22/01 "Chloe" is almost 4 yro (DOB July 10/97), she is brindle w/cropped ears and docked tail. She is currently very matted and will be
shaved down. She is a smallish bouvier, approx 24" to 25" tall but very overweight - 10-15 lbs. Shots and heartworm are due July/01. Chloe is very friendly with people she knows - she
loves to be petted and cuddled, will give kisses - she is somewhat 'grumpy' with dogs she doesn't know and she is very shy in new situations as she wasn't socialized very much. She is housetrained,
crate trained and is very good in the car - she does need some leash work. Chloe is still being assessed so children, cats and small dogs are unknown at this time. Chloe would do best with a female owner
that leads a fairly quiet lifestyle and who has lots of patience and understanding to give her the time she needs to adjust. For further info pls contact Margo Illing at pitabouv@sympatico.ca |
June 9/01 Chloe has gone home!! A wonderful couple came to see Chloe last week and have decided that she would make a great 'fit' for their household.
Chloe has an older big 'brother' bouvier, Roly, to help teach her that 'life is good' and to help show her how much she is now loved. I received the below email from her new 'mom' Val and it sounds
like 'all is well'..... Hi Margo - Thought I would let you know that Chloe is settling in like a trooper. We no sooner turned into the driveway than our neighbour called out
"Is that Chloe?" , and the visits began. This afternoon she met 6 new people and one new dog; not a trace of shyness or uneasiness on her part. I think she's home. She looks to
Roly to see what he's going to do, and as he's so used to company, she's just as laid back as he is. She's having fun exploring the yard, finding squirrels and listening for strange noises. I
went off to get some groceries and left her and Roly in charge. When I got back she was stretched out in the sunroom basking in the warmth of the day. She's just eaten her dinner, and later one
of the neighbours is coming over so we can take the two of them for a little walk. All in all, a great beginning. Thanks again Margo for all your hard work. I'll look forward to seeing you soon.
