Day 4 Aug 31 - is drinking more AND retaining the fluid - had 2 IV treatments, will try discontinuing to see how he does.   Has an appetite, has eaten 1 cup throughout the day.  Gave him a bath with a keratolytic/antiseptic shampoo to help ease the itching and to remove some of the scaling.  Bought him a soft, pliable cat collar so it doesn't chafe his neck (in red of course!)  He is much brighter, even wanted to go for a short walk in the driveway!
