Harley is 6yr old male, neutered..cropped & docked black brindle Bouvier about 100lbs...a beloved pet of our family. Because of a family break up and both is parents
moving in different directions to the states, we regretfully have to give him up. He is a well trained and obedient loyal comanion who has lived with 2 teen age kids and all the ruckass that comes along with a busy
household,as well as his companions a cat and a pomchi. He has the most wonderful temperment and is dosile in nature. He is definately an indoor dog but enjoys a romp around the field as long as it isn't raining out.
Harley has allergies to most dogfoods containing meat products, and gets skin irritations and ear problems if he eats such products...He has done exceptionally well on the
vedgitarian dog food for the last several yrs. He is up to date with all his shots. Harley is presently living at home with us in Newmarket Ontario (near Toronto) and although His breeder will take him back...we really
want to find a home before that is needed for peace of mind. please call Adrienne at 905-836100 or 1800 668-7564 for more information during the day. June
2/01 I was just looking at the website, it has been such a long time since I did....and there under the "successes" was Harley! We rescued Harley last August through you guys -
and WHAT A SUCCESS STORY he has been. I thought you might like to add in an update on Harley's success! I have a great photo of him standing in the stream that runs by our farm house - would you like to post that too? In August 2000, Harley moved to Hummingbird House, a hobby farm south of Ottawa, on the banks of the Rideau River. He
bonded unbelievably well with his new family (parents Bill and Janice Brooks - Hannah 11 yrs, Andy 9 yrs and Greer 7 years and sheltie Holly). Harley spends much of his time exploring the
fields and trying to catch fish in the stream that runs by the house. Most of all he loves playing with the children. Although never trained to, Harley has really taken to helping us herd the
chickens and developed a relationship with the 6 rescue cats that live in our barns. Harley's food allergies and skin problems have completely cleared up and he now eats regular food and shows
no signs of stress whatsoever.. Harley loves best, the chance to run down the lane to greet the kids coming home from school. Although he sleeps at the foot of Bill and Janice's bed every night
- he's also be known to act as a pillow for drowsy children.Janice |
