Apr 11/01 Because of being very ill, I found that I had to place Jesa. It was such a hard decision, where would I find the 'perfect' home
that would appreciate her unique qualities and where I would still see her. I was contacted by a wonderful lady that was looking to adopt a female bouvier, but her husband had some reservations because
their male bouvier was somewhat other dog aggressive. The type of dog they were looking for was going to be difficult. I had such a good, warm feeling about these people, I allowed them to
'foster' Jesa for a period of time to see if it might be a match. It sure didn't take long for Jesa to win everyone's heart - including 'Bentley's' - her now big brother bouv who rests his head on her
back when they sleep! Both Sherri and Steven just love their new 'little girl' and Jesa doesn't want to be anywhere they aren't. She now has big brother Bentley and an annoying little brother,
Hayden (a Norfolk Terrier). It's strange how some things work - Sherri and I have now become close friends, I see Jesa regularly and Sherri has even become a volunteer for Ontario Bouvier Rescue.
She has helped do home-checks, volunteered to man the rescue booths and has even help to groom a rescue dog. Jesa has lost so much weight that I barely recognised her - she now weighs a svelte 70 lbs!! and
we have revised her age to approx 4-5 yro from the original 6-7 yro.. This was definitely a match made in Heaven!! |
