Oct 27/01  This is 'Merlin'.  He is a 6.5 yro neutered male Shih Tzu, utd on all shots and is microchipped.  Merlin does tricks like 'give paw', roll over and lie down.  He is crate trained and will 'hold it' just about forever.  However, he is terrified of small children and will nip - the reason he found himself in rescue - and is somewhat nervous of strangers and strange situations.  The perfect home for Merlin would be with a retired person/persons, in a quiet atmosphere.  He enjoys going for walks or just being a couch potato, he is sweet and loving. Dec 1/01  Ruth came to visit and fell in love with Merlin - she had been 'babysitting' her daughters Shih Tzu for a few months and when she left, Ruth found herself very lonely.  They have had a 'rocky' time of it getting used to each other, poor Merlin is very cautious of new things but Ruth has persevered and Merlin is home to stay!!  He is settling in finally and looks forward to Ruth coming home from work.  We'll continue to work together to help him adapt to his new safe environment.
