Sept 9/01  This is Perry - he is an approx 8-10 yro neutered male purebred Bichon.  He is utd on shots, housetrained and crate trained.  Perry has always been a well cared for little guy but unfortunately his owner was transferred out of the country and couldn't take him along. He is a little standoffish at first but warms up quickly when given attention and treats - he is very playful and acts like a much younger dog.  He has no known health problems.  The ideal home for Perry would be with either a senior couple or a single person without any other pets or children.  For further info pls contact Margo Illing or Leslie Remenek, Small Paws Rescue Canada, leslieremenek@home.com

Sept 23/01 Sadly, this morning when I came down to let all the dogs out Perry didn't come out.  I went to see where he was and he looked like he was still asleep in his little bed.  When I tried to rouse him I discovered that some time during the night little Perry had passed away in his sleep.  Poor fellow, I guess being put into rescue and not having a family of his own made him more sad than I realized and he just gave up.  Sleep softly, little guy!
