"Roadie" (now named Rhody) is an approx 2 yro brindle male (he is being neutered Nov 7/00), docked tail and cropped ears.  He is now up to date on shots and heartworm clear. Roadie was picked up by the Humane Society as a stray, had obviously been on the road a long time, and then turned over to rescue - hence the name "Roadie" - (he has an unreadable tattoo).  He is severely emaciated - 55.5 lbs and should be closer to 90lbs - is 26" tall.  He travels very well in the car, knows sit and down, is very friendly but somewhat dog dominant - we'll see how he is after neutering - is very active. Pictures pending.  For further info, contact Margo Illing at pitabouv@sympatico.ca..

Better pictures will be here soon. When sunshine returns....

UPDATE Mar 2/01
Dear Margo,

I am sending a photo attachment of Rhody and myself, and hope that it reaches you successfully.  Rhody is doing very well.  I recently brought him to the vet for a dry skin concern and we had him weighed.  I am happy to report that Rhody is close to 75 pounds and is doing well.  He eats well and is very energetic. Rhody has been to several homes, has spent overnights (usually with me) at other homes, and fares very well.  He barks very enthusiastically when he sees other animals.

Rhody has just about learned to roll over.  He enjoys his daily walks and LOVES car rides.  He will be going for his first grooming in two weeks. I bought nail clippers and do that part myself.  Overall, it has meant a shift in my life to have him, but he sure is a lovable and joyful presence.....great company.  As you said a long time ago, he loves to follow you around!     Anyway, he is doing great.  Take care, Margo, and I hope to hear from you sometime.  Fr. Martin.
