Mar 25/03 This is 'Sammy' - he is an approx 5-7 yro,grey brindle, neutered male bouvier.  On the day that I picked Sam up, he was apparently in a fight with another dog - he has been to the vet to have his wounds treated and is healing nicely.  Sammy weighs approx 114 lbs!!! so he is grossly overweight - I am working on getting this weight off - he should probably weigh approx 80-85 lbs.

Sammy is a wonderful dog!!  He is housetrained, absolutely loves to go in the car and for walks.  Currently he is rather depressed and confused but is coming around with lots of attention.  Sam appears to like other dogs and am unsure regarding cats - I will check him out with children shortly.  For further info pls contact Margo Illing pitabouv@sympatico.ca

May 5/03 I decided to take Sammy with me for the ride when I took Grace to meet her potential new family. Bert's daughter, Alison, was there and she fell in love with Sammy!!  Alison had recently purchased a home and was going to start looking for a companion - one that was older and needed a home!! - boy, did Sammy fit that bill!!  Poor old guy was so excited (and confused) that someone really wanted  him.  We spent the afternoon with everyone and it was decided that Sammy would stay!!  It just about broke my heart with joy to see the smile on Sammy's face!!  Bless you Alison for opening up your heart and home to this wonderful dog!!
