Zipper - 5 yro neutered brindle male - natural ears, docked tail. He was originally adopted as a pup at 8months from a young fellow who moved west.  He has been a Therapy dog for approx 31/2 years.  He is trained in basic obedience and appears to be a happy dog.  He has a stifle injury which causes him to be a little stiff when first arising but he appears to work it out as he walks. He doesn't have a lot of leg hair but abundant coat.  His condition was excellent when I saw him two weeks ago.  He would do best as lady's companion.  He was clean, well fed and UTD on all shots.  For further info on Zipper pls contact Kathleen Pollock at kpollock@kos.net

May 12/01  After 4 days on the road, Zipper finally got a chance to meet his new 'mom', Norma.  She had been waiting for him for many weeks, trying to figure out how to get him to Edmonton. A friend and I decided to make a 'rescue run' to deliver both Zipper and Toby to their 'forever' homes.  It took us 4 days to travel to Airdrie (just outside of Calgary) where Norma and her mother met up with us. Zip hopped right up into her vehicle and settled himself down on the bed - he just knew he was going 'home'.  I received the below email from Norma....

Well, Zip's home now and you were all right about how wonderful he is.  He's lying right beside me as I write this.  He couldn't have been better in the car on the way home and seems to be quite calm.  He ate his supper (except for a few pieces he left at the bottom of his dish), has been for walk, explored his yard and checked out Spook the cat (from a distance).  He's very tired now.  We'll have a nice relaxing evening now.
Thank you again.  Zip is a wonderful guy.
